Castletown is a small village in county laois. Its on the road, R445, between Mountrath and Pike of Rushall.

It has a park on the banks of the river Nore and with a little waterfall and with an old building in the skyline it makes for a very picturesque scene.

The river Nore was not very deep at Castletown, the day I visited. The bridge in the distance is on the main road. I have seen teenagers dive into the river from it.

There is a lovely grass portion for people to walk along the river or sit and relax
Very important wall, it even has a plaque telling us about it, alas, I need to stop and read it.
